cannot be processed and produced without the film. Without the film there is no image. In eye anatomy the retina plays a crucial role in vision function. As the light sensitive region at the back of the eye it takes light images focused by the eye lens and the cornea, processes those images and sends them to the brain where it is interpreted as the vision that we see. One of the critical features of the retina is to help us to see these images in perfect color resolution (bright colors) and sharp visual acuity (sharp eyesight) at night. In the camera analogy of eye function it represents the film.
Due to the fact that it receives light images, records it and translates this light perception via the brain into the vision that we see, it is the most critical part of the eyes, because without the film of the camera (the retina), our brains could not process the light image that becomes the vision that we can see like the picture of a camera.
